Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has just been released, and a large number of players, eager to discover the continuation of Episode I, simply titled Remake, have already immersed themselves in this new adventure. For those who made the 1997 original, opening up to a more open world was expected and developers Square-Enix haven't done things by half. Without talking about an open world in the strict sense, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth breaks the linearity and remote-controlled aspect a bit of the Remake loop. Sure, we can't escape the well-known mechanics of open-world games (with additional activities, mini-games, and other rather interesting side quests), but that feeling of freedom is really palpable, especially since the game, as a whole, is really beautiful (except for the dark areas and off-colors). Baldur's Gate 3, for its part, is a few months away from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but it has managed to attract a large community of players thanks to its respect for the work of Dungeons & Dragons, but also its Pharaonic content. With a very strong production, both visually and in terms of gameplay, the cRPG (Western role-playing game imbued with custom mechanics for PC) is a great gateway for those who want to discover this very special genre. In this third episode, the Belgian studio Larian has not really skimped on resources and has benefited from excellent feedback from the community that has been able to experience the beta testing. For months, the developers have been working on improving this adventure made up of tactical combat, twists, and online and offline showdowns. Baldur's Gate 3 can be overwhelming at first, but once you feel tempted, it becomes difficult to escape.
