“Explanatory” exhibition by Salman Al-Zamouri at Espace Rivage
Moroccan-Dutch painter Salman Zemmouri is organizing an exhibition entitled “My Interpretation” from September 15 to October 15, 2022 at Espace Rivage at the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad. The opening will be on Thursday at 6:30 pm at the Foundation’s headquarters. Born in 1959 in Tetouan, the painter began studying photography at the University of Applied Photography in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, then trained in painting techniques in Utrecht.
“Since 1987, Salman Al-Zamouri has presented more than 400 exhibitions in several countries: the Netherlands, Morocco, Belgium, Denmark, South Korea, Australia, Turkey, Spain, Iraq, Syria, Germany, Poland, France, Al Jazeera, Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the organizers note in a press release sent to Al Yapadi. The artist has combined lighting techniques from photography to painting and colour, in a global approach, where travel becomes his primary inspiration. “I produce my work with a lot of love and enthusiasm. From the birth of the idea to its production, I am happy to share it with the public (…) I am an optimist. I often say, learn and teach optimism,” he said.
Since 1990, Salman Zemmouri has held a large number of exhibitions, in Morocco, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and France. His collections are present in all of these countries, as well as private collections in the United States, Egypt, Canada, Belgium, Italy, Iceland, Greece and Iraq.
