Davy, were you imagining this arrangement a few days ago?
“I hadn’t imagined this scenario at first last Sunday! Such is the magic of this arrangement! Nothing wrote it. I came here to heal myself, to find out more about Figaro and to try to tease the best when possible! There, we had great success with an option that We took her from behind the packs with Fred Dothell! Aa pushes! We got to the front, with a little lead and I’m so happy!”

“In the forecast before the start, we saw that we would face a front in this part of the course and there were several possible scenarios to cross it. Because of my higher ranking there, I thought this option of passing west of DST was interesting. We knew the fleet would be stuck in light winds for several hours while The new wind was coming from the west. We toured the parish and the panko! The descent from Scilly was amazing! I had magical moments on the boat, dolphins were jumping all over the place. It was really magical.”
How were the last miles on the ship with Fred Dothell?

A few miles from the finish line. I was in the lead but had a small Beaudart style dumpling by not passing the right cardinal in the bay. I usually don’t get nervous because there are always people in front and I just have to follow them (laughs). To be serious, it was a good ending, very intense and that’s what I love about this circuit. »
Will your state of mind change at the beginning of 2e Type between Port-la-Fort and Royan?
“No. I think that a good performance on the water comes above all from the pleasure of sailing and enjoying the race with others. I obviously do not have the same level as those who train this year on this medium and would not change the way I approach the stage. But if there are movements to play I said before we started that I wanted to create a podium for beginners in 2022. I now have a two-hour lead and I will make sure to keep it that way.”
