Crafty thieves steal $500,000 worth of produce

Criminals have developed a particularly effective scheme to break into a store without raising the alarm.

Their plan unfolded just as they had imagined. A few days ago in the state of Washington (USA), thieves robbed an Apple store located in a shopping center in the city of Linwood, using a fairly original and effective method.

As the story goes Fox NewsThe criminals have already circumvented the security apparatus of the target shop.. by going through the wall of a nearby shop. After breaking into this store selling espresso machines in the middle of the night, the criminals drilled a hole in the wall next to the Apple Store. They were then able to quietly help themselves to their stockpile of high-tech products, before setting off again on the same route as on the outward journey.

“They broke into our front door, which was locked,” said the espresso machine store manager, as quoted by Fox News, editor’s note) into the wall to get to what appears to be the back office of the Apple Store. They passed by our house to get to the Apple Store. I had no idea we were so close or so close to this store.”

436 iPhones were taken by thieves

If this robbery caused about $2,000 in damages to the espresso machine store, the add-on is clearly much higher for the Apple Store that was the thieves’ target. “At least 436 iPhones were stolen from the back room. iPads or connected watches,” said Marine McKay of the Lynnwood Police Department.

To make matters worse, the criminals, especially the well organized ones, seemed to be careful not to leave any clues behind. “At this time, no fingerprints have been found and individuals have entered the mall with masks on,” Maren McKay notes. “No arrests have been made at this point, but our investigators are currently examining all information and all available pathways.”
