Charles III receives many coronation fees from Adele to Elton John
Who will attend the coronation ceremony in honor of King Charles III. Performing on May 6th? The list of cancellations seems to be growing at the moment.
It wasn’t long until the coronation. But it looks like Charles III’s to-do list. always longer. In just two months, on May 6th to be exact, the 74-year-old will be crowned. A star-studded party will be held at Windsor Castle the next day to celebrate this extremely rare party in Great Britain. That’s the plan. But there are mounting reports that “studying the stars” has become a huge undertaking for Charles’ team.
Acts already confirmed include Olly Murs, Lionel Richie, Take That without Robbie Williams, and Minogue’s sisters Kylie and Dannii. More famous musicians will be announced in the near future – but that doesn’t seem so easy, as UK newspaper The Sun now reports.
According to the report, three giant names in the music business have been cancelled: Sir Elton John, Harry Styles and The Spice Girls. Thus, the reason for the cancellation in all three cases is the overfulfilled full schedule. The situation was similar before with stars like Adele, Ed Sheeran and the aforementioned Robbie Williams.
Elton John performances in Germany are scheduled for May
Even Elton John was “number one on Charles’ list,” as the site claims it learned from a source. Ironically, his gigs in Germany were said to have thwarted the King’s plans: “Because of his European tour, which took him to Germany again on the Friday before the coronation and soon after the Windsor ceremony, he was unable to make the trip to Great Britain”. John’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road 2023” tour will stop in Hamburg on May 5th and take place in Berlin on May 11th.
Same game with the man of the hour, Harry Styles. He will be very far away from Elton John on his “Love on Tour” — Styles will be playing in Australia on May 4 and New Zealand on May 7 — literally on the other side of the world.
The coronation ceremony will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London. 2000 guests must be invited. On that day, there will also be a carriage procession and the traditional appearance of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. The concert and light show is scheduled to take place at Windsor Castle on Sunday 7 May. On May 8th, Brits will have an extra public holiday with events in honor of people doing volunteer work.
