Captain Kohli praised after massive demo win over New Zealand
From Ravichandran Ashwin’s weave to Mayank Agarwal’s impressive charms to Axar Patel’s likable fiftieth, India meant dominance in the second Test against New Zealand. At the start of the fourth day of the second and final Test of the series, India achieved a landslide victory of 372 points over world champion New Zealand and won the two-legged series 1-0. Chasing an arduous 540 goal, the Black Caps bowed to a killer spin attack from Ashwin and Jayant Yadav who both hit four wickets to finish the second half for New Zealand for 167. New Zealand-Zealand, in the absence of loyal Ken Williamson, had only managed to get all 62 Point in their first roles.
The match also saw the return of Virat Kohli under whom India concluded their unforgettable Test victory. In recognition of the victory for the leader, cricket fans gathered to congratulate the “goats”.

India first chose to beat the sparkling opener of the century Mayank Agarwal (150) who helped 325 of them all. Ajaz Patel was the standout performer, claiming all 10 wickets in the Indian innings became the third player in Test history to do so.
However, New Zealand’s response only continued to exaggerate 28.1 as they ceded a significant first-half lead which India then advanced beyond their reach after the second half was announced at 276/7.
