Canadian kills, rapes, dismembers four women

Calculated and racially motivated crimes. In May 2022, a man searching for scrap metal was rummaging through a trash can in Winnipeg, a city of 820,000 in southern Canada, when he discovered human remains. The person immediately called emergency services, telling them the woman the body belonged to had been “clearly murdered.”

After identifying the bodies, police confirmed that the remains were those of Rebecca Contois, a 24-year-old mother from the Indigenous community who had been living on the streets since leaving her family a year ago. During his trial in June 2024, Jeremy Skibicki’s lawyers tried to convince their client to admit that he was “not criminally responsible” for his actions, citing mental disorders, particularly schizophrenia.
