Canada lost to Norway at the World Men’s Curling Championship
Ottawa – Gushue improved to 2-2 on the night. Norway’s Magnus Ramsfjell stole two rocks in the tenth inning to win 8-6.
Canada took a 4-0 lead against Norway, but Ramsfjell got back into the game. He flew out in the seventh when Gushue missed a double.
“I think they played well and we didn’t execute as well as we needed to,” Gucho said.
Earlier in the day, Gushue needed just seven ends to defeat New Zealander Anton Hood 8-2 in the World Men’s Curling Championship.
Gushue opened the game with two points and had three in the seventh over forcing New Zealand to concede the win.
In the evening, Canada will face Norway’s Magnus Ramsfjell.
Goshio scored a win and a loss in his first two tournament matches on Saturday.
The preliminary round will run through Friday at TD Place. The medal matches will be held on April 9.
Team Gushue, based in Newfoundland and Labrador, won silver at the last Worlds in Las Vegas.
