Bubble Science – University of Angers
Historian Bastien Roullier is one of ten French doctoral students selected for the 2023 edition of “Science in Bubbles”, a popular science work distributed free of charge on the occasion of the Science Festival.

Treaties, letters, sermons, inscriptions engraved on stone blocks… Bastien Roullier’s sources are many and varied. This is what we learn, among other things, in the fifthH Edition of the book “Science in Bubbles”.
Ten small cartoons

After a training day in Paris in December, and the production of the first text summarizing his research work, the historian increased his discussions with the painter Heloise Chuchua Who signs all new job boards. “I sent him texts and also pictures representing performances, and decorative elements, such as mosaics from that period, so that the drawing was also well connected to historical reality.”
“Very nice mediation project”
Six months later, final touches of color were added to the designs. “It’s a great experience. It’s interesting to put in pictures what we’re working on. And it’s very practical: I was able to simply explain to my relatives what I was doing, Bastian laughs. “It’s a very nice mediation project.”
New work published by Publishers Group Science is for everyoneIt will be distributed free of charge during the Science Festival, thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture, French universities and the Banque Casden Populaire.
Bastien Roullier will be present in Paris for the launch of the Fête de la Science, on October 6, at the Musée de l’Homme. He will also be available to discuss with the public the Science Village that will take place on the afternoon of October 14 and 15 in Angers, at the Iseo headquarters.
