Bourg-en-Bress. Altec, the association that gives meaning to science

For more than 20 years now, members of the Altec Society (Al Ain Scientific, Technical and Industrial Culture Center) have considered themselves “nervous agitators”. It is true that in view of the many activities offered during the year, this qualification is well suited to those who know how to mix science and culture.

Adaptation, explanation and presentation

Thursday, May 11, it was at the MCC (House of Culture and Citizenship) in Bourg-en-Bresse that the Assembly held its 21st Congress^H General Assembly meeting. Enriched with events, the new president, Eric Chevalier, who succeeded Eric Summit last June, takes stock of 2022. “There is an urgent need to adapt, an urgent need to communicate, an urgent need to clarify, an urgent need to display, the president emphasized. Many projects are already open in particular the new project of the association and the new strategy for the coming years.” Eric Chevalier insisted on the need to increase Altec’s presence throughout The country with the aim of expanding its audience. “The material and human investments are necessary and with a sound financial situation, Altec can move forward.” The directors of the centers (Science with Society and for Society; Youth; Fablab; Engineering and Resources) presented the various actions that have been carried out in which approx. from 6,000 people.

In 2023, Altec will continue its activities such as the first Micro Festival, in July, the launch of the Arts and Sciences Exploration Program, in September and of course the Fête de la Science in October.

With more than 260 members, the Altec team is entering a third decade with real momentum, the main objective of which is to implement cultural and scientific mediation actions accessible to all.
