Beautiful people for the World Rugby Awards
Following South Africa’s victory in the Rugby World Cup final, the World Rugby Awards ceremony was held on 29 October in Paris. Thierry Dusautoire and his wife, as well as Prince Albert of Monaco, have the opportunity to attend this prestigious event.
It is an event that concludes an extraordinary two-month chapter in world rugby. Since the beginning of September, France has hosted the World Cup finals and the competition has gone well, although French fans felt great regret after the harsh elimination in the quarter-finals against South Africa. A defeat for the future world champions since the Springboks beat the English in the semi-final before defeating the New Zealanders on Saturday 28 October at the Stade de France.
Another victory for South Africa, the already defending champions who have won their fourth title, while France’s XV is desperately seeking their first crown. This Sunday, after these two intense months, the World Rugby Awards ceremony was held at the Opéra Garnier in the presence of many rugby stars, starting with the legendary French XV, Thierry Dusutuyer. The 41-year-old former player was accompanied by his wife Sofia (all photos can be found in the slideshow). Along with four other illustrious former players, including New Zealander Dan Carter and Argentine Juan Martin Hernandez, both of whom were present in the capital, the former Stade Toulouse player had the honor of being included in his sport’s Hall of Fame.
