Apple is bidding farewell to a much-loved feature

This is the end of My Photo Stream, a token function since 2011. This allowed you to sync up to 1,000 recent photos on different devices for free.

The offered 5 GB will not be enough, far from it

As you can imagine, the 5GB of storage that iCloud provides for free is not enough to hold the same amount of photos and videos.

For example, if a user has approximately 300 GB of photos and videos, they will need to upgrade to the larger iCloud + plan at 2 TB at $9.99 per month to keep the equivalent of their available space. Apple saves money

It should be noted that these storage limitations are not unique to Apple. Google also ended the unlimited storage available on Google Photos, and before that, Flickr did the same.
