All Black Tu’inukuafe in the viewfinder
Info RMC Sport – New Zealand international pillar, Karl Toinkoff (25 caps), interests Montpellier. Talks are underway with the hope that the 29-year-old will come to boost the MHR package.
It would be a heavy reinforcement for Montpellier. The Top 14 leader, who has nearly completed his enlistment for next season with several good picks (including Louis Carbonell, Leo Coley and Ben Lamm), is still working behind the scenes to solidify himself. According to information from RMC Sport, Hérault are interested in signing Karl Tu’inukuafe. There are discussions between the two parties. The experienced New Zealand international column (29 years, 25 caps since 2018) will seriously enhance the MHR package, which features Mohamed El Trad, the new sponsor of the All Blacks, chaired across his eponymous group.
Tu’inukuafe, a solid left player (1.83 m, 125 kg), currently plays for the Blues. He was a regular last season, playing only five Super Rugby matches as a substitute in recent weeks, having featured on the European Tour of the Blacks in Europe (with appearances against Wales and Ireland).
Experience in Narbonne in Pro D2
Under contract until the end of the season, he has not yet extended. Twinkoff already played in France. That was with Narbonne, in the Pro D2. He then made 23 appearances (including 6) during the 2015-2016 season before seeing good rise in New Zealand.
In this position from the left column, Montpellier will also count on Enzo Forlita and Gregory Fichten but also Simon-Pierre Choufak, who will arrive from Brive this summer.
