After a deadly hurricane, the country was hit by a strong hailstorm
China – hailstones the size of chicken eggs. On Sunday, April 28, a hailstorm hit the Chinese city of Fuzhou in the southeast of the country. As you can see in the video above, Huge chunks of ice crashed onto roads and lawns, shattering the windows of cars in their path.
Photos posted by netizens on X, formerly Twitter, show impressive hailstones, sometimes larger than an entire palm. Hailstorms were also photographed in the city of Zengcheng, also in southeastern China, as well as in Guiyang, in the southwest.
In the east of the country, Hebei Province woke up under a white coat on Monday, April 29. A thick layer of snow covered the roads, and temperatures dropped unexpectedly, reaching -5 degrees Celsius, according to China Central Television.
In recent weeks, the weather has been particularly unpredictable and dangerous in southern China, as evidenced by these events. In mid-April, noticeably heavy rains caused violent flooding in Guangdong Province, and on Saturday, April 27, a devastating tornado struck the city of Canton, killing five people.
