Continuing its international development, VINCI has just acquired New Zealand public works company HEB Construction. This joins the network of companies of the VINCI Construction International Network, whose role is to support the international development of the Group. Established over 40 years ago, HEB Construction is a leading New Zealand construction company with extensive experience in the roadworks, earthmoving, civil engineering, structural engineering, hydraulics, marine and port construction, prefabrication and transport sectors. The company employs 750 people and achieved sales of approximately €230 million in 2014. As a major player in the country's infrastructure development, HEB Construction, alone or in groups, implements major turnkey projects (design and construction) worth up to €500 million. It was awarded a new contract in April 2015, within a group of companies, to build a 27-kilometre dual carriageway on the road leading to the capital, Wellington, on the North Island. This infrastructure project, worth more than €500 million, is one of the largest currently underway in the country.
