Tongan international Leiva Fifita has been recruited as a medic after second-line injury to Ewan Johnson. The surgery is performed on the meniscus, and the latter will miss between four and six months of competition. Leva Fifita, 34, has the advantage of knowing the French Championship well. Under Grenoble’s colors, he participated in the 2018/19 Top 14 season during which he was a key component of the Isรจre forwards’ pack. In 19 matches, he leveled 2 tries.
Leiva Fifita is coming off a two-season stint in the Irish province of Connacht where his playing time has declined. During the last financial year, he played only 5 matches in the United Rugby League and 4 in the European Challenge.
