A new TV app has been released for PS4 and PS5 – SHOCK2
Sony Pictures has released a new app for PS4 and PS5 that includes free movies for PS Plus Premium subscribers.
The app, titled Sony Pictures Core, allows users to purchase or rent up to 2,000 new and classic Sony Pictures films, including sample titles such as Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Uncharted, Equalizer, no hard feelings, bullet train And Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

However, Sony also says that Premium Tier PlayStation Plus members will also have access to a “curated catalog of up to 100 movies” that they can stream on-demand. These movies will not contain ads and the software will be “updated regularly.”
With Sony Pictures Core, you can purchase select Sony Pictures movies on PS5 and PS4 during an exclusive early access window – directly from your console. In select markets including the UK, France, Germany and Japan, the first early access film will be Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story, based on the incredible true story of a team of misfits (a struggling, working-class gamer, and a failed character). …a former racing driver and exemplary motorsport manager). Together they risk everything to succeed in the world’s most elite sport.
Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story is currently available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand via Sony Pictures Core and will debut in additional markets soon. By purchasing the film through Sony Pictures Core, you will receive the funds*** needed to purchase in-game GT7, which also includes cars from the film. The film also bears the “IMAX Enhanced” seal, ensuring an even better viewing experience on PS5 and PS4 in your living room*** thanks to its famous picture quality.*
If you already have PlayStation Plus Premium, the Sony Pictures Core app gives you access to a catalog of up to 100 selected movies***** that you can stream on-demand through the Sony Pictures library included with your membership. The catalog, which is ad-free and regularly updated, includes films like Looper and Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy.
