A highway collapse of more than 100 meters in height
Part of the European Route 6 linking Trelleborg in Sweden to Kirkenes in Norway via Oslo collapsed on Saturday, September 23, near Gothenburg in southwestern Sweden, emergency services and police said.
The landslide occurred shortly before 2 a.m. “About ten vehicles, a wooded area and a commercial area including a gas station and a fast food restaurant were affected.”Daniel Licklid, director of emergency services for the Gothenburg region, said in a statement: Emergency services said that the most affected area covers an area of 100 meters by 150 metres, but in total, the landslide extends over an area of approximately 700 meters by 200 metres.
