I opened my first Kickstarter offer, and got…

This is my opening for my first Kickstarter offer. Lucky or not?

So happy to open my first Kickstarter offer, just days after seeing my friends open theirs, and come up with some truly crazy stuff, I had a special moment. Here's my girl, my unique, rare, and interstellar collection!

37 booster packs, 518 cards

The modified Kickstarter display is 37 boosters, basically drugged with rarity, chips, fullness, and alternative hormones. After testing the starting decks a bit, I went with the Esmir faction, which I really liked for its control capabilities. Before that I saw a fair number of display slots in my store with unusual cards every time. I think the low range is 6 unique per display.

Gold supporter?

Like the golden booster that a friend opened:

It's beautiful huh! We all hope to have a booster like this on hand one day!

For my part, I was expecting a lot of Izmir cards, if possible, very angry unique cards. But… it didn't go as planned! And here are the cards I got!

faction unique rare
Axiom 0 24
I did well 3 22
Mona 0 22
Lyra 2 24
Requests 0 24
Izmir 0 24

Total of this offer

  • 5 Unique: Two Lyra, three Braavos
  • 142 rare

Unique

Lyra

Well, compared to what I've seen, it's not crazy! If the design is so cool, we can't say that my unique Lyra is incredible.

Lyra is unique

Pioneer Bravos

I'm not a huge fan of splinter cards at the moment (because I probably lack perspective on the game), and this unique card comes from the Bravos faction. Here's the common and rare card for comparison:

So Freddy adapts to the Lyra faction with a 1/2/4 body instead of 0/3/3, and keeps the keyword Veterans (The card retains its boosts when it goes into reserve), but it will draw a card. That's okay because drawing in a card game is always good.

Dr. Frankenstein

The lone Dr. Frankenstein is also a renegade, this time from the Axiom clan. A 2/4/4 solid body for 3 mana, and two other effects: activating the triggers of the permanent under our control, and giving a boost by discarding it from the reserve. Here are the common and rare cards for comparison:

My only level is a good level, it fits into the group without a problem but it's not a game changer.

I did well

My other three unique drops are from the Braavos faction, which is a rather aggressive faction. Two are native Braavos (Eason Bushi and Chiron) and the other, Dorothy Gale, is a defector from Izmir.

Unique well done

Eason Bushi

I don't know enough about the Braavos faction to draw any major conclusions, but this one seems pretty good. 1/1/3 instead of 0/0/2 is the right suit. But rather than reserve it would be a strong boost to other cards. Again, not bad. Common and Rare Cards:

Chiron

My Unique Chiron is a bit sluggish in the body with 2/1/0 instead of the rare 1/0/0. And one character will be boosted twice instead of two once. By removing him from the reserve, he will give a transient character. There you go, a good class, not a revolution in the group.

Dorothy Gale

Matching suit with 3/1/3 instead of 3/2/2. Slightly better cost of 5/4 instead of 5/3 or 5/5. On the other hand, in terms of effects, it changes completely: you will have to control a sign to send a character to reserve. But Dorothy in Braavos will be able to boost your characters, and in Twilight put a card from your hand in reserve to give demise to another character. Very interesting but there are some conditions for the card that still costs 5.

My conclusions

Ominous! When I see the golden boosts or the 13 unique slots, I get a little excited! I console myself by telling myself that my clients will get better offers! #Health

I'm now going to try to build a few decks using the 500 cards on this screen, while I wait for the next card to open! This is also TCG, humble openings and crazy openings.
