At the age of 11, he stole a car and his caravan: the police arrested him while driving on the highway
Police arrested an 11-year-old boy while he was driving a car towing a caravan on Thursday on a UK highway.
Motorists couldn't believe their eyes, nor did the police. On Thursday afternoon, English police were notified that a black BMW X5 and its caravan had been stolen. With the description, the police quickly found the fugitive. It is heading towards the M1 motorway, about 40 kilometers from York in the United Kingdom.
45 minutes after the robbery, and after driving dangerously on a busy highway, the thief was arrested. Shock to the police: The driver… is 11 years old! “We never expected to find a little boy behind the wheel.” refers to the police in a press release.
The young boy was arrested for theft, burglary and traffic offences, including dangerous driving. During a search of the BMW X5, they found tools used to commit robberies and fake license plates.
The young boy was released on bail pending investigation. The young thief's profile has not been published by North Yorkshire Police.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the young thief's journey.
