Beauden Barrett extends his contract with New Zealand

Paris December 3, 2023 (AFP) – Full-back and sometimes fly-half Beauden Barrett will extend his lease with the All Blacks until 2027 following an agreement reached with the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZR), it was announced in a press release on Sunday.

Under the terms of this new contract, the 32-year-old, who currently plays in the J-League for Toyota Verblitz, pledges to return to the team in 2024 and once again defend the colors of the New Zealand franchise Auckland. Blues in 2025.

“Bowden brings a lot of class. He is the second most capped backline player in the All Blacks’ history, and his ability to utilize his knowledge and experience is a reflection of his loyalty.”

Beauden Barrett will turn 36 at the next World Cup, which will be hosted by Australia.
