All matches on ARD and ZDF: Women’s World Cup: These are the faces of the TV broadcast

ARD providers and experts

First up, broadcaster Klaus Löfven (56) will guide you through the World Cup live from the studio in Hamburg with ARD expert Nia Kunzer (43). Klaus Löfven presents the programmes, while Nia Kunzer, a former world champion footballer, contributes her specialist knowledge and experience. Her final job will be as a football expert at ARD. Kunzer gives up his professional job after the World Cup.

Accompanying the matches are commentators Christina Graf (37), Bernd Schmelzer (57) and Stefanie Paczek (36). Graf and Schmelzer will commentate on the matches from host countries New Zealand and Australia, while Bašek will provide her voice from Hamburg.

A highlight of ARD’s coverage is the official World Cup song “Wir Ihr Alle Eins” by comedian Caroline Quebecus (43), which provides the soundtrack for Erste’s World Cup broadcasts and creates the right atmosphere.

ZDF presenters and commentators

ZDF will also broadcast matches from the Women’s World Cup. Moderator Sven Vos (47 years old) moderates the second broadcasts and analyzes the matches with several guests. The matches themselves are accompanied by various commentators, among them Claudia Neumann (59), Norbert Galeski (62), Oliver Schmidt, Martin Schneider, Daniel Pinshor and Heiko Klassen (54).

Julia Gwyn (24) and Catherine Lehmann (43) have special experience. Julia Gwyn, the 2019 World Cup Young Player of the Year, will provide viewers with additional perspectives on the players and teams. The Bayern Munich player cannot participate in the tournament due to injury. She will provide insights and analysis about the World Cup on ZDF-Moma this morning. Katherine Lehmann, a successful soccer and ice hockey player, will bring her knowledge of international soccer as an expert to the World Cup studio.

Former national players Tapia Keme (31) and Josephine Henning (33) have also been deployed six times as co-commentators and field reporters. The pair have already accompanied the 2022 European Championship on a bus through England and will travel to Australia and New Zealand this year.
