All black arrives at Custer!
This summer, Castres Olympic leaders formalized the signing of three-quarter New Zealand international midfielder Jack Goodhue.
This Wednesday, Mission He tells us the 28-year-old New Zealander finally arrived in Castres this week.
The latter will begin training with his new teammates on Thursday.
However, those who have committed to CO until June 2025 will have to wait before debuting in the top 14.
In fact, he could be ready to attend the reception in Lyon at the beginning of December, but perhaps not before then.
At one point, the Tarnes club leaders were hoping they could get Jack Goodhue back earlier in the season. But this was linked to New Zealand rugby union.
He was even on the All-Blacks’ reserve list for the World Cup and could have been called up if New Zealand’s three-quarter line suffered an injury.
There is a rumor that he arrived much later, at the beginning of the following year, due to ankle surgery. But it was just a simple clean up after a few twists. It is well suited for playing.
Jack Goodhue is the seventh All Black to wear the Castres Olympique colors after Kees Meeuws, Chris Masoe, Rudi Wulf, Simone Taumoepeau, Carl Hoet and of course Gary Whetton.
