Nvidia Super brand graphics cards could join the GeForce RTX 40 lineup

The debut of GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards was not an easy one for Nvidia. We remember the failed launch of two RTX 4080 consoles, after which one of the models was canceled and finally renamed the 4070 Ti. This forced Nvidia to highlight its own joker: the “Ti” designation, generally reserved for range modifications in the face of competition or intended to position a model between two non-Ti references.

Three new GeForce RTX 40 cards

As for the GeForce RTX 40, Nvidia has already released the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and 4070 Ti, forcing the GPU designer to revive another suffix used in the past: Super. This information was revealed by leakster @hongxing2020, who claims that three new RTX 40 series graphics cards launching soon will be adorned with this premium model.

This small update of the range will therefore include the GeForce RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super. So we will see for the first time a GeForce device called “Ti Super”. At the moment, no information has been mentioned about the characteristics of the models, but we should know more by the end of the year: CES in Las Vegas is already a good opportunity to announce the update of the lineup, almost a year and a half after the release of the GeForce RTX 40.
