New Zealand King Salmon appoints Carl Carrington as Chief Executive Officer effective 7 August 2023

The New Zealand King Salmon Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Carl Carrington as General Manager. Carl brings a wealth of leadership and governance experience to New Zealand King Salmon at a time when the company is redefining its strategic and operational direction after a challenging period. Carl has led a number of significant businesses over the past 30 years, including McCashins Brewery as Managing Director and Heineken-Lion Australia where he was Managing Director of Australian Business, holding a number of merchandising, sales and management positions.

Carl was also Managing Director of Moana New Zealand for six years, during which time he worked closely with the owners of Moana’s Iwi to turn the business around. In recent years, Carl has focused on governance roles including the Board of Directors of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, The Cawthron Institute, Mt Cook Alpine Salmon and a number of other NZX listed private companies, primarily in the food and beverage sectors. Carl will take over as CEO on August 7, 2023.
