The national team leaves for New Zealand
The Vietnam women’s national football team left the country on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 5, to travel to New Zealand to participate in the final stage of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in New Zealand and Australia from July 20 to August 20.

Coach Mai Duc Chung told the press at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi that it would be a special trip not only for the Vietnamese women’s team but also for himself. He said that participating in this event is a pride for Vietnam in general and Vietnamese women’s football in particular.

Striker Huynh Nhu said she brings a lot of baggage to New Zealand, but the most special thing is how the Vietnamese fans feel about her team.

The team includes 23 players. They will play two friendly matches against the national teams of New Zealand and Spain, before officially entering the final stage. In Group E, they will face the United States on July 22, Portugal on July 27 and the Netherlands on July 1.any August.
