The seniors of the Sequoia Retirement Home could not move in on Friday morning, first gradersDr also. But these CM2 from Lamartine School and these 6H From Anne-Frank d’Illzach High School alone I secured the atmosphere on the Espace 110 stage. He opened the ball by enthusiastically reading the short texts they had written about the idea of difference – racism, disability, physicality… “Everyone is like it is, if you feel good about yourself , then this is the main thing … “,” Barriers are useless “,” Disabled people are superheroes! “,” Borders are nonsense, there shouldn’t be any, because everyone is the same … “Then the college students introduced one of their comrades , their country of origin (Turkey, Portugal, Morocco, Kurdistan, Ukraine …), his tastes, his centers of interest. While others conducted from little red riding hood – also a meeting between generations! –

Then everyone discovered the “highlights” of the project: the large model of a fictional city based on real places, to which each one in turn contributed her little stone, under the guidance of the artist Elise Planard. First the schoolchildren for the installation of shingles and masking tape, then the schoolchildren for plaster tape facades and colors, and finally the Sequoia elders to see the flowers, animals, figures and lampposts emerging … High school students, to them, were present at all stages and were able to meet the adults. First introduced in a room at Espace 110, the intergenerational model will be on display at Séquoia. So the elderly will remain guardians of this city of dreams created by architects from 10 to 90 years old – or even older!

About 80 young and old from five structures took part in this adventure, two artists (Elise Blanchard, director Frédéric Darcy), not to mention the teachers and organizers of Espace 110. “At every stage, there was motivation and creativity,” Elise Blanchard welcomed, in a message read Lionel Casa.

Sometimes we need to be ready, we have the right not to love.

“We, at Espace 110, have a wish: that we can work with all generations, from young children to the elderly. That everyone can go see a live show and meet the acts. Sometimes we need to prepare, we have the right to dislike, but the main thing It is that the meeting takes place…” Thomas Riess, Director of Espace 110, pointed to the philosophy of this East African group, whose presentation led to the revitalization of the Cultural Center from Ilzach for three days from Wednesday to Friday. “Reading Olympiad”, “Métiss’Art Exhibition”, “Transfer of Imagination”, “Dancing Fun”, “Cultural Boarding Schools at Bugatti High School”, “Theater Specialization at Zillisheim High School” and, accordingly, “Let’s Push the Limits”: Done Completed eight projects (and many more – read in the box) this year.
