Firestone Grand Prix Saint Petersburg
The first round of the 2023 NTT INDYCAR Series season, the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, will be held this weekend in Florida.
The 2023 INDYCAR season begins with the usual set of questions. Chip Ganassi Racing and Team Penske have won the last ten titles, including eight for the trio of Scott Dixon, Will Power and Josef Newgarden. With Alexander Rossi, Felix Rosenqvist and Patou Oward, the Arrow McLaren team is the referee in the duel between two INDYCAR giants.
MASTER OF THE INDYCAR TOP POINTS WITH 68 POLO POINTS AFTER QUALIFYING, WILL BOWER AT HOME OF ST. PETERSBURG WITH NINE POLEES IN THE LAST THREE THREE EDITIONS! Penske’s team has taken eleven poles on its last sixteen trips to St. Petersburg.
If Will Power is at home in St. Petersburg, six-time champion Scott Dixon has never won there. The New Zealander from Chip Ganassi Racing had four second places and averaged a 7.88 finish in eighteen starts. He has been a top ten finish in the last seven events at St. Pete.
