New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Tredin Dobson emphasized the importance of the visit by the President of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA), Phuong Dinh Hue, to New Zealand from December 3-7.

The New Zealand diplomat said in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) that the visit will help intensify bilateral ties in important areas and strengthen ties between legislatures, businesses and peoples.
MI Dobson said she was pleased with the dynamic development of relations between the Vietnamese and New Zealand legislatures, emphasizing the role of the Vietnam New Zealand Friendship Group in maintaining bilateral relations.

The New Zealand ambassador expressed his hope that the Vietnamese and New Zealand sides would discuss, within the framework of the visit, measures to achieve maximum benefit from their trade relations within the framework of free trade agreements, especially in Vietnam and New Zealand, which aim to achieve this. $2 billion in bilateral trade by 2024.
