Renewal of the city center and transformation of Espace Lignerat Several projects have been announced in Brassac-les-Mines

The Mayor of Brasac-les-Mennes, Fabien Becerri, presented his wishes to his compatriots on Friday January 20, in the Cultural Center, in the presence of the Deputy Prefect of Issoire, Bertrand Ducros, Deputy Vice-President Delphine Lingmann, Honorary Deputy, Jean-Paul Paquet, Vice-President of the Region, Florence Dubissy, President of Agglo Pays d’Issoire, Bertrand Barrot, and many other elected officials from the territory.
Small town tomorrow After evaluating the achievements of 2022, the first city councilor returned to the Small Towns of Tomorrow program, of which the municipality is a part. “Brassac will be a driving force for neighboring small towns such as Jomoux or Auzate-la-Combille,” he noted.
He followed up by announcing projects over the next 10 to 15 years with the rehabilitation of the city centre, which includes the creation of a common area with wider sidewalks and the greening of the Place de la Liberté-François-Mitterrand. Martin Bonjean Street will see the track narrow to 3.50m. This will allow the construction of sidewalks on both sides of the road, 1.70 meters wide, to ensure safety, especially for strollers. A change that includes making Martin Bonjian Street a one-way street.
Thus, before embarking on the work, a test related to this feasibility will be carried out at the beginning of the year. Estimated cost: 3,500,000 Euros.
