World Cup 2021 – England also denied the final, Australia and New Zealand for revenge – Rugby League
Australia and New Zealand qualified for the World Cup final at the expense of Papua New Guinea and England.
The first semi-final was lopsided on paper and was on the pitch. It took Papua New Guinea 10 minutes before you saw the list of results. Australia scored 40 points in the first half and 42 points after the first half to achieve a final victory 82-0, and Gelaro reached the final final after winning four matches, including three without conceding a single point.
The second semi-final was more difficult and it was, for a half anyway. The English score the first attempt of the match and start better. Kiwi Ferns came back with two unconverted attempts but everything had to be done in the break, 6-8. Starting the second quarter on one end, the New Zealanders are very strong and score twice in quick succession on good deeds. The English try to respond but defend well. New Zealand win 20-6 and deny England the final.
