“Bachelor” and “Bachelorette”

One of the most popular dating formats on German TV is probably “The Bachelor” and its female counterpart, “The Bachelorette”. Since 2003, viewers have been watching The Bachelorette finally finds the supposedly suitable one from a group of women over the course of several episodes. In the first season, Marcel Maderich tried his luck. In the final, he chose 22-year-old Julian Ziegler. However, he later started a relationship with the runner-up.

The second season lasted nine years, but was a complete success with Bachelor Paul Janke (41). Since then, the show has ran for ten more seasons. The bachelors are: Jan Kralichka, Christian Teuse, Oliver San, Leonard Fryer, Sebastian Banek, Daniel Foles, Andre Mangold, Sebastian Bruce, Nico Grisert and Dominic Stockmann.

“The Bachelorette” has also been a successful dating format since 2004. In the first season, model Monica Ivankan (45 years old) was looking for the right model. As with her male counterpart, it also took nine years to air a second season, at which time Anna Hoffbauer, 34, was searching for the man of her dreams. I found it in Marvin Albrecht. The relationship lasted three years.
