The Barrett brothers absent from New Zealand’s group against Japan

Boden, Scott and Jordi Barrett remained in the country for funerals. Sam Whitelock and Will Jordan were also discharged with injuries.

Six All Blacks players including the three Barrett brothers Absent from the New Zealand group who took off on Saturday morning (local time) for Japan to play the first game of his fall tour in a week.

Coach Ian Foster explained that Bewden’s three siblings, Jordi and Scott Barrett, would remain in New Zealand for their grandmother’s funeral, and that they would join the group later.

Half of the Scrum side, Fulau Vakatava, who made his first international match against Ireland in July, will be out for several months after sustaining a knee injury during training.

Two other players, Sam Whitelock and winger Will Jordan, are out for an unknown period due to inner ear problems, although Foster said he hopes Whitelock will return for the first game in Europe, against Wales on November 6.

Four additional players have been called up to the squad: versatile linebacker Damien Mackenzie, half Brad Webber, second rower Patrick Tuipuloto, and prostitute Asafu Omua.

New Zealand kicks off their tour against Japan in Tokyo on October 29, before playing with Wales, Scotland and England.
