Ron. Science festival gives center stage to climate challenge

“Linking Research Activities and Citizens”. This is one of the goals of the science fair. Nathalie Dombnier, President of the University of Lumière Lyon 2, called this Monday 3 October, during a presentation dedicated to the event. For the 31st year, the flag will celebrate. Over 1,000 events are scheduled in our region between October 7-17. Everything is free.

The focus this year is on climate change and our ability (or not) to adapt. Between proponents of technology as a solution to everything and avalanche scientists, researchers from various disciplines have shed light on our lantern.

Films, workshops and visits…

In addition to this topic, the 2022 program can be accessed at https://www.fetedelascience-aura.com/ , full of suggestions, aimed at learning without getting bored. Why not, even while having fun in laboratories, libraries, and universities. From biomimetics to mental health, from the tilted house that disturbs our cognition to an invitation to dance with its hologram, themes and activities promise something for everyone. Films, workshops, activities for children, guided tours, conferences, games, shows… Many events take place on Saturday 8 and Saturday 15 October.

“You have to understand how to form certain knowledge, you have to be able to ask yourself questions” Gabriel Vioney, Vice President for Higher Education, stresses the address of the high school and university students present while presenting this science festival. Particularly curious not to refrain!
