France national team – France will face Tonga long before the World Cup – Rugby League
France will face Tonga in a warm-up match a few days before the start of the World Cup.
It’s a test hell awaits the blues in Halifax on Saturday October 8th at 4pm. Tonga, led by Jason Taumalulu, will face France in the last game before the World Cup. The Tongans overtook the Australians some time ago and are among the top three countries in the world. Laurent Freisinos, France’s 13th coach, explained:
We’ve been in contact with Tonga manager Scott Clark, and Christian Wolff for our pre-competition match for over a year. We are very happy to face Tonga which is one of the best in the world at the moment, well coached by Christian Wolff and his crew, and made up of some of the best players in the National Football League.
This match will be a very good test that will make us progress in our preparations and in our pursuit of our goal because similar teams are waiting for us for the group matches. I thank Halifax FC for hosting such an event as well as Steve and Jamie from Novo Sports for the organisation.
