Police have said 29-year-old New Zealand army member Twito Junior Vaiyangina was the man who died Sunday at a music festival in Matakana, north of Auckland.

A police spokesperson told 1NEWS that their investigations, on behalf of the coroner, were continuing into the death.
Yesterday, police said they received an alert about a “medical event” at the Hidden Valley Festival around 7:30 PM on Sunday.
“Unfortunately, despite the immediate medical assistance provided to the person, they died at the scene.”
New Zealand Army Commander Major General John Boswell told 1 NEWS Lieutenant Vayangina joined the Army in 2015.
“He has served New Zealand with pride and colleagues and everyone who knows him will miss him,” Boswell said.
“The army expresses its sympathy to the family and friends of Second Lieutenant Viangina,” he added.
It was recently based at Linton Military Camp.
The festival organizers expressed their condolences on Instagram yesterday.
“We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of one of those present in Hidden Valley,” the organizers wrote.
“Our thoughts, respect, and narration remain with the family of the deceased at this time … We will continue to adhere to the health and safety guidelines set by the police.”
