Putin congratulates Biden finally on winning the US election

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Joe Biden on winning the US presidential election, Tuesday, after weeks of holding fast.
Putin’s letter to Biden came a day after the US Electoral College confirmed Biden was the country’s next president, as it endorsed his victory in November in an official refusal of each country to President Donald Trump’s refusal to acknowledge his loss.
The Kremlin had said earlier that the Russian president would delay congratulating Biden until the winner is officially confirmed.
“We are just waiting for the end of the internal political confrontation,” Putin said last month, referring to the many Republican challenges to the vote count.
