After qualifying for the World Cup (Women’s Rugby World Cup October 2022 in New Zealand), Azuzu coach, Andrea de Giandomenico of L’Aquila, focused on the Six Nations.

In Dublin, the Six Nations announced the schedule for the 2022 edition of the Women’s Six Nations Championship which will start on the weekend of March 26/27 2022.

Italdon will make his Grenoble debut against France on Sunday 27th at the Stade des Alpes, a symbolic venue for Italian rugby where the Italian male defeated Bleus for the first time in 1997, then made his home debut the following Sunday. (April 3) against the English Red Roses, the defending champion. And it will do so in what has become the home of the Azzurre, the Lanfranchi stadium in Parma, which considered them champions in the last edition of the Six Nations, but above all in the 2021 World Cup qualifiers held in September in which Italy won ‘direct access to the ninth edition’. From the Rugby World Cup scheduled in New Zealand in October-November 2022.

The Lanfranchi Stadium – which recently hosted the last Autumn Nations Championship 2021, Italy and Uruguay, and which closed the Autumn Test treble with the success of the Crowley Azzurri on South America – will return to host the Azzurri on April 23 against Scotland, in the fourth round of the Six Nations, after the trip from Dublin to Ireland (April 10, Musgrave Park in Cork).

Italy, led by Andrea Di Giandomenico, will conclude the tournament by facing Wales at Arms Park in Cardiff on Saturday 30 April.

All matches of the women’s national team will be broadcast live exclusively to Italy by Sky Sports.
