New Zealand: The biggest concert since the start of the pandemic

A concert was held with thousands of people over this past weekend in New Zealand, after managing the pandemic to its fullest potential.

The public gathered in Waitangi for the largest outdoor show since the pandemic began, and the photos being posted on the network give some hope of what we may all expect in the future.

Musical group Six60 Saturdays has prepared a six-date nationwide tour that will also head to Christchurch, Hastings, New Beymouth, Hamilton and Wellington.

Six60 lead vocalist Matthew Walters said:

“There is a lot of uncertainty right now and it’s hard to make long-term plans, but no matter what, we always try to give our best performance, which is why we put so much love into rehearsals. Being here and being able to be together while the rest can’t The world basically makes us appreciate how successful our country has been in dealing with Covid and how lucky we have been. I feel really proud of all of this.”

The country closed its borders in March and required that all travelers to the country be screened and quarantined for 14 days. They also imposed a strict lockdown for several weeks. Almost a year later, the country has managed to lower its alert level to one, and New Zealanders now no longer need to follow social distancing rules, but it is still recommended to wear a face mask on public transport.
