Twitter, Instagram, Facebook? Lord voluntarily withdrew from the platforms, which was not easy for her. what is the reason?

LOS ANGELES – New Zealand singer Lorde said she has not used social media for some time and is experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

“It was really hard, the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” the 24-year-old said on Wednesday’s “Late Late Show” hosted by James Corden. “I felt so disconnected. But that’s how my life is now.”

Lord said she was motivated by wanting to have more time for her music. “I’m only doing it because I’m trying to write songs and I’ve wasted a lot of time.” For this reason, I opted out of Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Thus, the singer herself may not have posted the isolated videos and messages that can still be found on Lorde’s official Facebook page.

Lorde released her third studio album, “Solar” last Friday – nearly four years after releasing her latest album, “Melodrama.” The singer-songwriter, actually named Ella Yelich-O’Connor, rose to fame in 2013 with her debut album “Pure Heroine”. The single “Royals” took first place on the charts in many countries. After the follow-up album “Melodrama” (2017) she largely withdrew from the audience.
