2023 World Cup preparations (F): Nigeria squad against New Zealand
Nigeria has released a 23-player squad for friendlies against Haiti and New Zealand, as part of the build-up to the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
The friendlies against Haiti and New Zealand have rarely been announced, and the list of players selected to participate is already known. In fact, Nigeria coach Randy Waldrum trusted 23 Super Falcons, including three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and seven forwards.
This list includes key players such as goalkeeper Chiamaka Nadozi, defender and captain Onomi Ibe, as well as striker Asisat Oshoala, who plays for FC Barcelona. The friendlies will be played on April 7 against Haiti and April 11, 2023 against New Zealand.
