LOU Rugby, the 14th-ranked club in the top 14, confirmed on Monday they will retain Toby Arnold and Liam Allen, both New Zealanders, as starting cards through the World Cup.
Law rugby announced on Monday that New Zealand players Toby Arnold and Liam Allen will remain in Lyon as starting cards through the World Cup. Given the competition, which will take place in France from September 8 to October 28, the club already has twelve players selected to represent their countries.
Toby Arnold (36) and rookie leader this season, joined Lyon in 2013 when the club was playing in ProD2. He has since played 227 times for Lyon, helping to a Top 14 finish in 2014 and 2016, and winning the European Challenge in 2022. With a total of 75 tries, he even holds the club record. As for Liam Allen, 22 (1.91m for 105kg), he arrived last February in Lyon as medical clown for Jordan Tofua and Maxime Guzo, both with long-term injuries.
