This new law could lead to the first evidence in favor of the artificial reality hypothesis, according to Fopson. According to him, the universe has a digital nature due to its ability to “optimize and compress data” and this can be proven by the decrease in entropy in information systems over time.

In order to conduct further research, Melvin Fopson launched a crowdfunding fund worth £195,000 (about €230,000) which was halted before the required amount had been raised for this marginally functioning scientist.
