England hosts 3e Commonwealth Games times, July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham. More than 5,000 athletes participate in this competition, in 20 sports, including triathlon.
The triathlon was one of the competition’s first events, which involved 72 nations, last Friday, with the women’s competition, contested at a sprint distance.
Olympic champion Flora Duffy defeated Britain’s Georgia Taylor Brown, and Scotland’s Pete Potter, who was competing in 3 matches.e Commonwealth Games, his first in triathlon (after two participations in athletics), which brought Scotland its first medal in the competition.
On the men’s side, England dominated the game, through Alex Yee, who made the difference as usual in terms of foot. Yi returned to New Zealander Hayden Wilde, who kept hime
Last place despite a 10-second penalty for taking off his helmet too early at the start of T2. The third step of the podium goes to Matthew Hauser.
In the mixed relay race, the English team consisting of Taylor Brown, Yee, Caldwell and Dickinson won ahead of Wales and Australia.
