USAP: Injured with Pumas, Jerónimo de la Fuente will miss top 14 . resume
USP Pumas, Jeronimo de la Fuente and Joaquin Oviedo will be absent to resume the top 14 places. The first was injured during the great victory over Australia (41-17) with his country.
As their USAP teammates continue to prepare to resume their Top 14 – this Tuesday was a day off, and everyone has an appointment at Parc des Sports on Wednesday – the two “Catalan” Pumas Jerónimo de la Fuente and Joaquín Oviedo are taking part in a rugby tournament with Argentina.
The first, Central Pumas, kicked off the second game against the Australians on Saturday in San Juan, punctuated by the biggest victory in Pumas history over Wallaby (41-17). Unfortunately, de la Fuente injured his left thigh while he scored the third Argentine attempt (24). Backed by his decisive inner hook, he felt a pain that forced him to let go of his teammates. As a result, he did not leave with Pumas, Sunday, in New Zealand for the two All Blacks (August 27 in Christchurch, September 3 in Hamilton). He remained in treatment in Argentina, and will only join the Argentine national team when he recovers from his muscle injury. Geronimo “Zaza” Marty called to give an update and his words instead reassured the USAP coach.
Joaquin Oviedo, who has yet to play a minute in an Albester shirt, is on a good trip with New Zealand.
The rest of the Catalan workforce is on the bridge. Seba Taumoibo, the last to return from his break after Tonga qualified for the World Cup, is expected to be on Wednesday morning in Perpignan. But he will not return to training until next Monday.
Among the other recruits, Victor Moro, who was avoided for the Montauban match, will start Friday night at Emmy-Geralle (7:30 p.m.) against Racing 92.
The Kélian Galletier was preserved on the Pau Voyage, as was the Fijian Pavilion Alivereti Duguivalu. We don’t want to risk them.David Marty confirms.
Arthur Jolly’s little knee pain shouldn’t keep him away for long.
As for the long-term injury, left back Giorgi Tetrachvili and bitch Lucas Villarte have resumed group training but should not be ready to resume the championship in Bo on September 3.
Finally, Shawn Ero, who is treating a painful meniscus, is expected to return to competition in three weeks.
The test against Racing 92 (Friday, August 19 at 7:30pm) is eagerly awaited by the Catalan staff.
