And the reason mentioned by the spokesman to Agence France-Presse? “Lack of ground personnel.” The crew initially expected the situation to resolve on its own, but that was not the case. “For operational reasons, we decided to make the trip to Bilbao without luggage,” he told AFP. The company had to pick up other passengers in Spain and return the plane to Zurich before the airport closed for the night. He concluded by saying, “We regret the inconvenience caused.”
