Two new injuries at the Toulouse stadium
Despite a friendly win over MHR, Stade Toulousain left Reilhes and Franks out due to injury. The staff hopes that Nitti and Aino will return to resume the tournament.
In its last preparation match before the resumption, Stade Toulouse won this evening, Thursday, in Béziers (14-17). The team’s chance to test their players and decide the starting 15th before the Top 14 resumes. But their options will be frustrating because many players are injured. During the first season, Hugo Reilhes and New Zealand’s double world champion Owen Franks had to leave the grounds of Raul Barrier. For the young Frenchman, the injury looks more serious than that of the former All Black according to the Toulouse dressing room.
To make up for the loss of these players, Rodrigue Nitti and David Aino will hope to bolster the first-line ranks at Stade Toulousin. In recent weeks, the two players survived and did not participate in the two friendlies. The staff is anyway hoping for a quick exit from the crowded infirmary at the front and into that first line.
