Tour of Turkey: Final stage interrupted by rain Patrick Bevin, winner of the General
The eighth stage of this Turkey Tour featured the start and end of a 136km loop in Istanbul, but was ultimately cut short in favor of New Zealander Patrick Bevin, who won overall. The eighth stage was suspended due to weather conditions. Which made the road very slippery, the race organization said on its Twitter account.
“It started raining after the start and the fall happened. After kilometer 25 the runners asked to neutralize the race”, Determines the message. In the general classification, Bevin, winner of the seventh stage on Saturday, leads Australian Jay Fine (Alpsin-Phoenix) by 20 seconds and Argentine Eduardo Sepulveda (Androni-Giocattoli) by 40 seconds. The New Zealander, who specializes in time trials, signs at the age of 31 the most important success of his career.
