The Sultanate of Oman refuses to open its airspace to Israeli flights – Al-Manar TV website – Lebanon

And Israeli media reported, on Thursday, that “the Sultanate of Oman refuses to open its airspace to Israeli civilian flights,” adding that “Iranian pressure is bearing fruit.”

The newspaper “Israel Hayom” added: “In other words, it is not possible to benefit from the opening of Saudi airspace to Israeli aircraft, in order to shorten the flight distance to the Far East.”

It is noteworthy that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and his Omani counterpart Badr Al-Busaidi discussed earlier today “bilateral relations, regional and global issues and the Vienna nuclear negotiations.”

And last May, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that the positions of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman are “particularly consistent on many issues,” noting that “good relations between Iran and the Sultanate of Oman enhance regional cooperation.”

It is noteworthy that the Israeli newspaper “Israel Hayom” reported, yesterday, Wednesday, that it “heard internal assurances that the occupation soldiers would be allowed to fly over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority had announced last July that it had decided to “open the Kingdom’s airspace to all air carriers” that meet the conditions for transiting the country’s airspace.
