Since mid-July, VanMoof’s fate has been in question. The brand has already declared bankruptcy in the Netherlands, but also in France and the United Kingdom. We now know that in Germany the brand will go out of business. And with each of these actions, the chances of salvation by saving seem to vanish.

VanMoof goes bankrupt in Germany

We learned from the VanMoofer News account that the brand has officially declared bankruptcy of its subsidiary in Germany, a strategic area for electric bicycle. As in other jurisdictions, an administrator was appointed to run the company and try to clear the debts.

The challenge for VanMoof remains to find a buyer who can preserve the brand and secure the future of the group’s 700 employees.
